Juana is coordinating a listening project in connection with King Week at Emory. The event will begin with a reading from works by Martin Luther King, Jr. This will be followed by a series of readings from works by human rights activists around the world, in the original languages and with English translations. Sponsored by the Emory College Language Center, with Emory faculty, staff and students participating, with special guests from Sutton Middle School and the International Community School. Juana will lead a first grade class in making "Go-Rounds" in connection with their current study of inventions. "Go-Rounds" are a creative learning tool that combines several concepts the children have been studying. | |||||||||

Myron is offering music for the chapel service at Candler School of Theology. The service is open to the public. | |||||||||

Myron will be performing for a coffeehouse fundraiser benefiting the journalism program of Decatur High School. Other local musicians and students will also perform. Coffee will be provided by Java Monkey and DHS students will serve homemade desserts. Cost: $8 for adults and children over 13; $5 for children under 13; $14 per couple. Proceeds go to toward paying the cost of airfare and hotel for journalism students to attend the National Scholastic Press Association meeting. | |||||||||
